Embedded Software Engineer
Are you a skilled software engineer with a passion for embedded systems? We’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our innovative products and solutions.
What you'll do- Develop software for Micropower’s Li-ion battery management systems.
- Write and manage software requirements.
- Develop embedded bare-metal software using C.
- Develop tools for supporting embedded development, usually using Python.
- Perform unit and integration testing.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and V&V teams, as well as technical project management.
What you bring
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in embedded C development.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software development for bare-metal or RTOS-based systems.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Additional experience we value:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, testing, or tooling.
- Ability to interpret PCB schematics and board layouts.
- Familiarity with Functional Safety standards and practices.
- Understanding of Cyber Security in embedded systems.
- Experience with battery management systems (BMS).
- Practical knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI.
