Your role

We are now looking for a senior mechanical engineer with a strong profile within Automotive Exterior & Interior areas to act as a technical leader and pre-sales solutioner. The role will include regular consulting assignments in technical projects, but the expectation is also to develop our offers within the Automotive Center of Excellence.

This is including but not limited to acting as the front face towards clients, expanding our footprint and driving RFQ work.

In this role you will play a key role in:
  • Lead and coordinate product development projects or subsystems from concept to series production
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet set requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with other R&D departments.
  • Oversee technical documentation and verify requirement fulfillment.
  • Guide and build efficient teams, prioritizing tasks and fostering collaboration.

Needs Assessment: Engage with Customer representatives to gain a deep understanding of their engineering project requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.

Solution Design: Leverage your technical expertise and industry knowledge to architect comprehensive solutions that address Customer's specific needs. This includes selecting appropriate technologies, defining system architectures, and developing project plans.

Proposal Development: Create persuasive proposals that clearly articulate the proposed solution, its benefits, and associated costs.

Presentation and Communication: Confidently present proposed solutions to Customer stakeholders, effectively communicating technical concepts and business value.

Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with Customer contacts, fostering trust and positioning our company as a preferred engineering services provider.

Your profile
  • Min. bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive product development, with a strong focus on exterior and interior components and systems.
  • Experience with the entire product development process, from concept to launch and running production.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems (e.g., CATIA V5 and/or Creo) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter and/or PDMlink) is meritorious.
  • Meritorious to have experience of estimating work efforts and doing quotation work.
