Role overview

We're looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimise our SCRL app as an integral part of a dynamic product development team.

• Create high-quality and robust features, owning the development process from planning to final delivery.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to plan and ensure high-quality results.
• Work with the engineering team to ensure best practices and code standards are followed.
• Leverage usage data and experimentation results to evaluate the performance and impact of released features, troubleshoot potential issues, and ideate new hypotheses for further iterations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Android ecosystem (developer tools, new Android APIs).
• Take an active role in roadmap planning, code reviews, problem-solving, and testing sessions.

• Extensive experience in Android development and Kotlin.
• Experience working on consumer apps with large user bases.
• A proven track record of delivering excellent and reliable code.
• A talent for technical problem-solving and designing effective and maintainable abstractions.
• An ability to communicate concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.
• An ability to work at a high pace without compromising quality.
