Now, our Power & Drive Systems development department is looking for a new colleague to join us on this exciting journey. We develop next-generation handheld products where performance, usability, and environmental responsibility are key. At the heart of these products is the powertrain—and that’s where you come in.
About the Role
As a Design Engineer within mechatronics, you’ll be part of a highly motivated team in the Handheld R&D Power Systems division. You’ll play a key role in developing our future products and electric motors, contributing to both new innovations and improvements to existing solutions.
- Design electric motor components
- 2D and 3D modeling (Catia & SmarTeam)
- Drive new development and enhance existing products
- Collaborate across teams and with suppliers to support project deliveries
About You
You’re curious, driven, and passionate about technical details. You enjoy working independently but thrive in a collaborative environment. You’re a strong communicator, a confident decision-maker, and you bring integrity and inclusivity to your work.We’re looking for someone with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a background in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics—someone who understands electronics and electromechanical components and has some years of experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing electric motors
- Familiarity with motor controller development
- Calibration and tuning of motor management systems
- Knowledge of light metal design, machining, and molding tools
- Understanding of electric motor manufacturing processes
- Experience developing high-volume products

You’ll be based in Huskvarna and we see great value in being physically present in the office at least three days a week. This role offers some flexibility, but being on site enables stronger collaboration and a better understanding of the business.
