Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
Below is a list of typical duties that are required to be carried out during the project. This list is not exclusive. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support the mechanical delivery element of the project in conjunction with the wider project team.
Responsibilities- Ensure all works are carried out and managed in accordance with the Winthrop Integrated Management System
- Assess and manage the project commercially to validate the project on handover from estimating and proceed through to full technical procurement of all equipment, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Manage, review and co-ordinate drawings, as requested
- Advise and guide the sub-contracted staff on all technical aspects of the project
- Prioritise and allocate the work for the staff on the technical team
- Ensure sub-contractor compliance with all site and project requirements, including operational and health & safety obligations
- Manage relevant client communications.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
- Complete all mechanical system deliverables within project and establish safety criteria.
- Communicate with project team to sequence installation of pipework to meet scheduled dates.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actions
- Manage document control to ensure all logs are kept up to date
- Assist the junior team members with their relevant Mechanical packages.
- Engagement with subcontractors and client vendors to plan and coordinated commissioning activities.
- A relevant qualification is essential, e.g. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A trade qualification would also be an advantage.
- 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems pertaining to data centre environment.
- Ability to maintain good customer relationships with other contractors whilst working on sites.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required
