Analytics Director

What you will do
In this position, you will lead Klarna’s analytical strategy for AML and Financial Crime, covering prevention, detection, and response across products and customer segments. You will drive strategic change initiatives, strengthen analytical capabilities, and ensure effective collaboration between analytics, operations, compliance, and product teams.By translating complex financial crime risks into clear insights, you will support regulatory compliance and informed decision-making at senior levels. You will also mentor leaders and teams, embedding strong analytical thinking and continuous improvement across the financial crime domain.
Who you are- A very experienced financial crime professional with deep expertise across AML, fraud, risk, analytics, strategy, and operations
- Proven ability to lead and deliver change across financial crime frameworks, covering multiple products and customer types
- Strong academic background with a clear motivation to progress within fraud, financial crime, and risk more broadly
- Excellent line management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities combined with a pragmatic, can-do attitude
- Solid understanding of European AML and financial crime regulatory requirements
- Experience across a broad range of financial crime typologies, including AML, authorised push payment scams, account takeover, and card fraud
- Exposure to first party, application, remote, internal, and investment fraud environments
- Background in payments, fintech, banking, or other highly regulated financial services
- Experience applying advanced analytics, behavioural insights, or data-driven techniques to financial crime prevention
- Familiarity with modern analytical tools and languages such as SQL or Python
