  • Install, configure, and test control systems for autonomous operations, performing validation on land and at sea.
  • Integrate electro-optical sensors (e.g., thermal imaging cameras) and process sensor data for navigation, surveillance, and environmental monitoring applications.
  • Set up and maintain data links and satellite communication systems (e.g., Inmarsat, Iridium) to transmit sensor data, engine parameters, and propulsion metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze engine and propulsion system data (e.g., water jet performance, fuel consumption) using diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure seamless system integration of electrical, control, sensor, and communication components for reliable USV operation.
  • Document technical processes and comply with maritime regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., marine electronics, GMDSS) are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marine electrical systems, control systems, or unmanned vehicle integration.
  • Proven expertise in electrical wiring, sensor data processing, and system integration in marine applications.
  • Hands-on experience with thermal imaging systems, satellite communications, and marine propulsion systems (e.g., water jets).
  • Familiarity with testing systems in marine environments and troubleshooting under operational conditions.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of marine network protocols (e.g., NMEA 2000, CAN bus) and sensor data analysis.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++) for control system configuration or data processing is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Other Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Swedish language skills are a merit but not mandatory.
  • Must be available for onsite work in Stenungsund, Sweden.
