- Design and build multi-agent pipelines and AI systems that decompose complex operational tasks into sequences of discrete actions across multiple downstream services
- Build LLM orchestration frameworks that govern agentic execution including prompt construction, tool selection, output validation, context management, and structured logging
- Build tool-use and function-calling infrastructure that connects AI reasoning to real-world APIs, external services, and operational systems
- Design task understanding and decomposition systems that translate inputs into executable plans with appropriate confidence bounds
- Build reliability and recovery layers that ensure safe agentic execution through graceful degradation paths, error recovery, and human escalation triggers
- Build evaluation infrastructure for agentic systems that measures task completion, failure mode distribution, and system reliability across multi-step execution chains
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications- Demonstrated experience building agentic AI systems that operate reliably in production; the distinction between this and a working demonstration is the primary thing we assess
- Deep working knowledge of LLM orchestration; including a clear understanding of where current frameworks succeed and where they introduce reliability risks in production conditions
- First-principles understanding of agentic failure modes; hallucination at tool boundaries, context degradation across long chains, non-determinism in consequential actions, and demonstrated practice of building defensively against each
- Fast, disciplined engineering in a domain that changes rapidly
- Candidates with exceptional research backgrounds in LLM reliability, AI planning, or multi-agent systems will be considered alongside those with direct production experience
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence from KTH, Chalmers, or an institution of equivalent standing; PhD candidates working on LLM reliability, planning, or multi-agent coordination are actively sought
- Open source contributions or published work in agentic AI, LLM reliability, or related areas
- Demonstrated ability to ship production-grade agentic systems faster than peers would consider realistic
- 2–5 years of experience; demonstrated capability outweighs tenure in a field this new
