Join our Global Product Development Department – home to over 250 highly skilled engineers – where cross-functional collaboration, sustainability, and innovation guide our every step. This role is based at our R&D Center in Hillerstorp, Sweden, equipped with state-of-the-art labs and creative engineering environments.
What you’ll do at Thule
As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will be involved throughout the full product development cycle – from early concept to product launch – ensuring that our solutions meet all relevant safety and compliance requirements across global markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
Translating international safety standards and regulations into practical internal test protocols and design requirementsParticipating in and leading structured product risk assessments during development
Supporting engineering teams with compliance input from the very first idea onward
Collaborating with internal and external test labs, as well as certification bodies, to verify product performance – and being ready to perform and support tests yourself when neededCreating, maintaining, and organizing compliance documentation that ensures full traceability across the product lifecycle
Staying updated on regulatory changes and aligning internal processes accordingly
Representing Thule in national and international standardization forums
Conducting internal training sessions and sharing compliance insights across teams
Contributing to the development of clear, user-facing safety information
Ensuring that our products meet the highest expectations of safety, quality, and global readiness
Your work will directly impact user safety and trust – making sure every product we release is safe, thoroughly tested, and fully compliant, regardless of where or how it's used.

You likely bring:
A university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics, or another relevant technical fieldA high level of curiosity and engagement in how our products are used – and how they can be made even safer
A structured, analytical approach with strong attention to detail
A proactive mindset and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Hands-on attitude and readiness to support or perform physical testing as needed
The drive to consistently challenge and improve safety across our entire product portfolio
Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus
