ABOUT THE ROLE
As System Architect, you will act as the technical lead for the Infrastructure & Tooling team in day-to-day operational matters while also owning the architectural direction of our SaaS service platforms.
You will work at the intersection of operations and architecture — ensuring stability and performance today, while designing scalable, secure, and automated platforms for tomorrow.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to balance operational excellence with long-term architectural thinking.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES- Act as team lead for operational, day-to-day infrastructure topics and staffing related tasks.
- Define and evolve the architecture of our SaaS service platforms based on the IT OPS guidelines
- Drive infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across our platforms
- Design and maintain Linux-based environments (primarily RHEL-based distributions)
- Collaborate with development, security, and product teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, reliability, and resilience
- Support strategic decisions regarding infrastructure technologies and roadmap
- Very strong proficiency in Ansible and Terraform
- Solid experience with OpenStack (or similar private cloud platforms)
- Advanced knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL-based)
- Strong understanding of:
- Server infrastructure
- Storage solutions
- Networking
- Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
- Experience designing and operating production-grade SaaS infrastructure
- Prior experience managing a team
- Comfortable working in security-sensitive and compliance-driven environments
- Professional proficiency in Swedish and English
- Experience from regulated industries (eID, PKI, digital identity, financial services, public sector)
- Experience with high-availability architectures and geo-redundant designs
- Experience leading or mentoring other engineers
- A natural technical leader who enjoys guiding others in operational excellence
- Structured and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable taking ownership of both daily operations and long-term strategy
- Passionate about automation, security, and resilient system design
- A team player who communicates clearly and collaborates across functions
